MASK WORKSHOP
Intensive full-face mask workshop
A physical, fun, and creative experience inspired by Jacques Lecoq's method. Through the use of full-face masks, participants explore an imaginary world yet to be invented, where actors can dare, transform themselves, and discover new ways of being on stage. The course combines physical training, work with masks, and stage creation, focusing on the body, gesture, and relationships.
Open to both professional actors and curious beginners who are ready to get involved.

THE LECOQ METHOD
Lecoq, a French pedagogue known for his studies on physical theater, was one of the first to use masks, starting with the neutral mask, an "object that is placed on the face and must allow the wearer to achieve a state of neutrality that precedes action, a state of receptivity to our surroundings, without inner conflict. It is a reference mask, a basic mask. Under every mask there is a neutral mask that supports the whole”. – Jacques Lecoq, The Poetic Body
The Lecoq methodology is characterized by the study of numerous creative styles. Students learn the importance of group creation and, above all, the importance of the actor-creator and not just the performer.
WORKSHOPS
1 day
6 hours
An introductory workshop for those who want to experience full-face masks for the first time.
The workshop is divided into two parts: the first focuses on physical preparation, while the second explores working directly with the masks. Participants will focus on creating a character using the mask as a tool.
No previous experience is required.
Two consecutive days / Sat – Sun
12–14 hours total
The intensive weekend offers a full immersion into the work of full-face masks.
The workshop is structured in two main parts: the first focuses on technique — working on the body as a rhythmic instrument and physical score — followed by the playful creation of a masked body and character.
It is aimed at theatre enthusiasts and students.

10 sessions
20–25 hours total
The continuing course is designed to guide participants through an in-depth and progressive exploration of mask work.
The program includes the study of the neutral mask as a foundation, followed by the exploration of larval and expressive masks, movement and symbolic gesture, the creation of physical scores, and the development of short scenic compositions.
For students and professional actors.
I trained in two academies specialized in the Lecoq method: the Alessandra Galante Garrone Theatre School (2013) and the École Internationale de Théâtre Lassaad in Brussels (2015). During my studies, I encountered theatrical masks, used in both schools as a powerful pedagogical and creative tool.
I began my professional career as a member of the Swiss company La Cavalcade en Scène, later resident company at the Théâtre Maison du Concert in Neuchâtel. In 2018, the company created Goose, a full-mask performance presented in Italy, Switzerland, and Belgium.
In 2023/24, I collaborated as an outside eye and performer in the production Three Days and Three Nights, a project combining full masks and dance.
Since 2021, I have been leading the intensive workshop “Monstrous,” dedicated to the exploration of full masks (larval and expressive), successfully active in several cities across northern Italy.
