The importance of care is at the heart of L’incendio del bosco grande.
Through the true story of the fox Metà, it tells of all the animals in our world, including humans. The work recounts the true story of the fire that devastated large areas of Montiferru in Sardinia in 2021. It is a work divided into three acts, openly inspired by soundtracks and with many internal references, from Stravinsky to John Williams. The fox protagonist is born in a hedge and grows up looking out to sea, until the fire destroys everything; but she ends up meeting and appreciating the humans who save her.
There are therefore two types of humans: those who hunt foxes and cause devastation, and those who take care of them. What kind of humans do we want to be like, asks L'incendio del bosco grande (The Great Forest Fire) implicitly?
