La Gloria tells the story of Adolf Hitler during an almost unknown period of his life: when, in 1907, at the age of 20, he moved from Linz to Vienna with his friend August Kubizek with the aim of entering the Academy of Fine Arts and becoming a great painter. The aspiring artist's dream of glory will come to nothing: rejected twice by the Academy, but unable to admit his lack of talent, Adolf will build a formidable web of lies around Kubizek - his only friend and probably his first, inadmissible love. But the charade would eventually collapse: exposed and humiliated, Adolf would break off his relationship with Kubizek, sinking into abject poverty and spending three years homeless in the suburbs of Vienna. The desperation of his situation will then push him, at the outbreak of World War I, to go to Munich and enlist in the army, thus beginning his tragic political journey.
