A bilingual monologue inspired by the true story of Annie Londonderry, the first woman to cycle solo around the world, becoming a symbol of female independence. Annie Cohen Kopchovsky, known as Annie Londonderry, was a young Jewish woman of humble origins from Latvia who, in 1894, at the age of just 23, left her husband and three children to cycle around the world on a bet. Annie Londonderry broke a record: she was the first woman in history to have accomplished such a feat alone. Not only was she the inventor of women's cycling clothing, but she was also the first person to use sponsors as a means of support. Thanks to a dreamlike and unrealistic universe, the show emphasizes the symbolic value of this story, whose protagonist became one of the icons of the Suffragettes, the feminist movement of the time. Thanks to a dreamlike and unrealistic universe, the show emphasizes the symbolic value of this story, whose protagonist became one of the icons of the Suffragettes, the feminist movement of the time. But what if her story was just a huge lie?
